Next Meeting: at the Overlake Round Table Pizza Restaurant Tuesday, February 26th, 7:00pm
Attendance Drawing: The pot was up to $80. However, since Jim Warberg’s name was drawn and he was there he walked away with the pot. So the pot returns to $10. Be sure to pay your dues before the meeting so you will be eligible for the drawing. Only paid-up members will be included in the drawing at the next meeting. The next drawing will be at the February meeting. Dues Are DUE!!!: This will be the last newsletter sent to the old roster. Be sure your dues are up-to-date in order to continue on the mailing list. Pay in person before the meeting or mail your dues to the address above. February Meeting: This month will be dedicated for the planning and discussion on what we want to do this year. We need everyone to participate. What do the members want? How much do they want to participate? What do they want to participate in? What is working? What can be improved? Topics range from the Christmas party, club leadership, outings programs, projects, and activities. JanuJanuary Meeting: Last month we listened to Todd Girtz, a member of Auburn Sports and Marine Fish and an instructor for Steelhead University. His “Rivers and Run Timing for Steelhead” was a very entertaining and informative presentation. February Outing: It is time to decide when we want the group shot at the peninsula rivers. Fishing has picked up on the rivers around Forks. Next Christmas Meeting: Milt Keizer has checked with the Fall City Grill for this year's Christmas party. Mark your calendar now for December 8th to keep that day open for our annual party. SS Puyallup Sportsman’s Show – Trout Pond: Several club members went to the Sportsman’s Show in Puyallap at the end of January Eastside Steelheaders helped kids catch some fish at the Trout Pond.
Evergreen Sportsman’s Show – Evergreen Fairgrounds: During the week before (Feb 21-24) our meeting there will be another Sportsmans show, this time a little closer in Monroe. However, no arrangements have been made made to help at the ThiKids Trout pond, so you can spend as much time as you want perusing the exhibits.
Sturgeon Trip: Don Oster was able to get a hold of the Four Sea’sons out of Sea Breeze Charters for June 5th & 6th (Thursday & Friday) Thisthis should be the best tides of the season. The Four Sea’sons will handle up to 16 passengers. Boat space filled up early last year, and this year there are only six spaces left. Tentative price is $85.00 per person per day, plus tax. Mark your calendars and make your reservations. Don’t forget reservations for accommodations. July Picnic: The red barn at McDonald’s Park in Carnation has been reserved for July 22nd, We have met there for several years now and have enjoyed the facilities there. Picture Board: Bring new photos. The old pictures have been removed and board is ready for new ones. New Member: Welcome to Travis Hinds, a friend of Roger Anderson, was signed up at the last meeting. Tid Bits: Rick Michael is recuperating well from his second hip surgery on January 15th. We hope that his recovery continues so that he will be able to join us soon. Maybe this month? A s After a long illness Don Hamilton passed away on January 13th. Good news! Round Table has replaced the partition door to our meeting room. This will make things quieter and more private. Whether that was to protect our meetings or the rest of their customers is not known for sure, but we will appreciate the partition. CO COMMING EVENTS:
