Another $10 gets added, bringing the pot up to $70. The drawing will be promptly at 7:00pm, so dont be late. November Meeting: Join us for member clinics. Learn and share various fishing techniques for the upcoming Winter Steelhead season. October Outing: Jim Grimes, his friend Pat from Alaska, Doc Craig and Tom Nordin made their annual trek to the Grande Ronde and Snake Rivers following the October meeting. Jim and Pat gave their usual clinic on how to catch steelhead on a jig. The river was running a little at the beginning so the catch rate ran about 50% of normal, but increased as the river dropped. In fact, since Jim and Pat stayed for 10 ½ days they ended up their typical phenomenal numbers. Doc was the exception, having a better than average trip. November Outing: Jim Grimes, Milt Keizer, Don Oster, Dave Ponting and Terry Coyle tried the Skykomish for chums on November 10th, but to no avail. Better lick next time. Chrismas Meeting: Milt Keizer has confirmed with the Fall City Grill that we will have the 10th of December for our Annual Christmas Dinner. Be sure to mark your calendar. Be sure to let Milt know if you will be attending. He needs to know how many how many will be attending and what they will be having. Choices are prime rib (est. $18-20) and chicken (est. $13-15). Children can order of the menu. Once the number of dinners is known, Milt will get the final prices. Beaver Lake: Last week the WDFW planted bout 3,000 hatchery rainbows, weighing between 3 to 5 pounds each, into Beaver Lake near Issaquah. They should be getting pretty hungry by now. Just remember that internal combustion engines are prohibited on the lake. The other thing there is no catch and release. All fish must be retained and the daily bag limit is five fish.
