Next Meeting: MONDAY, December 10th at the Fall City Grill
Annual Christmas Dinner 6:00-9:00pm!!!
Attendance Drawing: Our fearless president Sean Finney had his name drawn but he was not there. So, the pot is up again. Another $10 gets added, bringing the pot up to $80. Due to the Christmas party, the next drawing will be at the January meeting.
December Board Meeting: We will meet at Ernie Anderson’s place on December 4th to put the final wraps on the Christmas Dinner.
November Outing: Correction – last month’s newsletter should have read: Jim Grimes, Milt Keizer, Don Oster, Dave McHenry and Terry Coyle tried the Skykomish for chums on November 10th, but to no avail. Better luck next time.
Chrismas Meeting: Our Annual Christmas Dinner will be the 10th of December at the Fall City Grill. Happy hour will be at 6:00pm with dinner being served about 7:00pm. Our super raffle will follow immediately following dinner. With about 100 raffle prizes, a gift for all the women and a pinch of luck, everyone should be going home with something.
Be sure to bring a selection of lures to decorate the “Lure Tree”. The tree’s contents will be the culminating raffle prize.
Due to ordering requirements by the restaurant, reservations will be required. Exceptions will be extremely limited. Late reservations may not be honored. Don’t miss out, let Milt Keizer know by the December (12/4) board meeting if you will be attending. He needs to know how many how many will be attending and what they will be having. Choices are prime rib (est. $18-20) and chicken (est. $13-15). Children can order of the menu. Once the number of dinners is known, Milt will get the final prices from the Fall City Grill.
Outdoor Emporium – Customer Appreciation Day: The day after our Christmas Dinner Outdoor Emporium is sponsoring a Customer Appreciation Day. From 5:00pm to 9:00pm there will be raffles, giveaways and door prizes; as well as snacks and cider. Outdoor Emporium has supported our club for several years with advertising in our newsletter and special discounts for our raffle prize purchases. Don’t forget to use your 10% discount coupon on the advertisers’ page. Take your reels with you; you may be able to get them re-spooled for free (not a for sure thing).
Sportman’s Show – Trout Pond: With the Sportman’s Show in Puyallup at the end of January Eastside Steelhead members will have the opportunity help kids catch some trout and get free admission to boot. The exact dates are still unknown to the Club but should be Wednesday – Sunday following our January meeting or the next week. Check with Ernie if you are interested. He will get as many admission tickets as we need.
Sturgeon Trip: Boat space filled up early for this next year. Don Oster was able to get a hold of the Four Sea’sons out of Sea Breeze Charters for June 5th & 6th (Thursday & Friday). This should be the best tides of the season. The Four Sea’sons will handle up to 16 passengers. Tentative price is $85.00 per person per day, plus tax. Mark your calendars. More on this in upcoming meetings.
January Board Meeting: Due to the 1st Tuesday in January falling on New Years Day, the board meeting next month will be on January 8th. Mark your calendars for this adjustment.
