July Summer Picnic

The July meeting will be our summer picnic on July 27th at the red barn in McDonalds Park on the Snoqualmie River.  Plan on arriving anytime after 3:00 PM.  This year, members with last names starting with ‘A’ through ‘J’ should bring hot food.  Members with last names starting with ‘K’ through ‘Z’ should bring cold food.  There is no alcohol permitted in the park, and no pets in the picnic area.  Jim Warberg will be bringing plates and plasticware for all members, and Ernie will again be receiving some soda from Safeway. Walt will be bringing fresh corn.  Members are encouraged to bring fresh fish if they have some available.

At this picnic we have two great activities.  First is our dessert auction, so be sure to bring something tasty.  This is one of our major fundraisers and a great auction depends on great offerings.  Second is our annual guess the number of lures in the jar contest.  This is a lot of fun if everyone donates lures so the jar is really full.  If you donate a salmon or steelhead for the picnic your name will be added to our summer steelhead contest.  This is a good way to support your club and you also may win a nice rod at the end of the year.

Also, we will be drawing for the trip with Mike Sexton, as well as the winter contest. And, there will be a trip donated by Doug Sundin to the club, (Thanks, Doug!!!) which we will offer as an additional raffle prize.
