"We're joined by a mutual interest in steelhead...
including pursuit,
preservation, enhancement, and better understanding
thereof." |
 |
Organized July 13, 1976, Eastside Steelheaders is one of the
prominent local fishing clubs in the Puget Sound
area. Our club roster includes men and women of all ages and
professions, and includes several guides and outdoor communicators.
Although our primary focus is steelhead fishing, our members also target
salmon, trout, and other fish, and our methods range from float fishing to
fly fishing. |
|
Club meetings
are held at 7:00
PM, the fourth Tuesday of every month, at the
Overlake Round Table
Pizza in Redmond.
Meeting agendas regularly include fishing reports, news and event
discussion, guest speakers or demonstrations, and prize raffles. The
club also schedules a variety of
outings on a regular basis. |
 |
 |
Annual club events include a
summer picnic/dessert auction,
Christmas banquet, fishing
clinics, jig and spinner tying
party, and tackle/services auction.
Eastside Steelheaders also gets involved in the community as one of the sponsors
of a
fishing derby for special needs
children and young adults, volunteering at fish hatcheries,
River Cleanup and kids' fishing ponds at sports shows, and cleaning up local rivers. |
|
