Next Meeting: at the Overlake Round Table Pizza RestaurantTuesday, January 24th, 7:00pm Happy New Year: With the New Year the 2012 officers are up and running. Of course, all of last year's officers are continuing this year, although the Pres. and V.P. switched positions. We will still need to see if there will be any changes to the chairs, these are appointed by the Pres.
DUES ARE DUE: It’s a brand new year and that means it is dues time again. Be sure to remember your checkbook or bring cash. Come early, grab a pizza and/or salad and have some extra time to chat and pay your dues.
Annual dues are $24 for single and family memberships and $12 for senior (65+) memberships. Delinquent memberships will have their newsletters cancelled if not renewed by March. If you are unable to make it to the meetings, please mail dues to the address above.
January Meeting: This month we will have a general discussion what Club members have productive over the past year. While the reasons that produce success stories can help others, don’t forget to share any knowledge gained the hard way, too.
Upcoming Outings: With the new year we have an open calendar for potential outings. Besides our special Forks, Sturgeon, and Grande Ronde outings, there are opportunities for local and other special outings. Bring your ideas and we can have a brief discussion at the meeting with follow-up at next month’s board meeting.
Christmas Dinner: We had a great time at Woodinville’s Italianisimo Ristorante last month with a fine dinner and a lot of fun. Harry Dahlner came in with the largest fish for the Summer Steelhead Contest. He will have his name added to the traveling plaque. Roger Anderson won the drawing from all entrants for a new fishing rod. With over 150 raffle prizes, the prize runners were busy. The final prize was the contents on the "lure tree" won by Harry Dahlner.
Sportmans’ Expo: This year’s Sportmans’ show will be just after our regular meeting night, running from Wednesday January 25th thru Sunday January 29st. Club members have the opportunity to help out at the Kid’s Fishing Pond. Volunteers will get free admission to the Expo, parking has been freeing the past. Volunteers will also be able to view the rest of the show before and/or after their shift. Most club members currently signed up will be manning the first (12:00pm) shift on Wednesday. Ernie Anderson will have the tickets at the meeting for those that have volunteered. If for some reason you won’t be able to attend the meeting, contact Ernie as soon as possible so you can get your ticket.
Raffle Donations: Don’t forget, if you have any item that is in good shape that has only been collecting dust, someone else may find handy. Donations to the cache of prizes for our monthly raffle will go a long way to help the Club’s coffers. Just bring it in at the meeting and Ernie put it on hold for a future raffle prize (or the current meeting’s raffle if the prize selection is on the meager side.)
